Here it is at long last! It is the Bird ID project piece that I did for Ornithology class. It seriously took 70+ hours stretched over five weeks to do. I hope you can find it useful for identifying the hawks, falcons and owls of Minnesota, USA!

NOTES: There are four other birds of prey present in Minnesota that are not included in this reference: Bald Eagle, Osprey, Turkey Vulture and Red-shouldered Hawk. Additionally, vocalizations are not included in this guide, only visual identifiers, or "field marks".

Materials used: Colored pencils, paper, graphite pencil (2H), CS4, photo references, National Geographic's Field Guide to the Birds of North America, 5th Edition, and my brain

Cool ! Your Guide is better than some I have in my collection. It is simple, but detailed and informative. Most of my favorite guides have this kind of design, and the drawing instead or along photos gives them an extra charm, specially if they are along explanation markings. I think the only thing that are missing to the guide become perfect is something to compare or show the birds size.

Do you mind if I use your guide if someday I pass through Minnesota? :D
